While most of the weddings I photograph are UK-based, nothing excites me more than travelling the world to document a love story. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings in some truly incredible locations and venues across France, Italy, Switzerland, Cyprus, Thailand, Australia, South Africa and Canada.
Having spent several winters living in the French Alps, my French is good enough to get by, and of course I travel with a valid UK passport always ready for the next adventure.
Travelling with a camera in hand is endlessly inspiring. New places, food, architecture and climate all become part of your wedding story, and I love capturing not just the big moments, but the small details and genuine emotion that make each day unique.
For destination weddings, I don’t limit the hours I’m there — coverage is based on travel time rather than a set number of shooting hours, allowing me to fully document your day without watching the clock.
I often arrive a day or two beforehand so feel free to make extra use of me. Whether there is a rehearsal dinner the night before, or a day after shoot in a scenic landscape I’ll be there. I’ve even taken on the responsibility of being BBQ chef on the eve of a wedding.
Destination weddings are full of fun and incredibly memorable for everyone there.
I like to think of myself as a friend with a camera who has come along for the ride, rather than a photographer who wants to rush off to photograph the next thing on the list. Believe me when I say that I enjoy the day as much as anyone else!
